In 2005 I had a Discover credit to build my credit. I was cautious and sign up for the insurance that stated if an emergency happened and you were unable to pay your bill, Discover would make the payments and keep you current until the emergency passed.

Then i had a bad car accident. The air bag injured both my hands, and I was a massage therapist. I called Discover to use my insurance and they forwarded me to....a hang up dial tone. I give them the benefit of the doubt and call again.

Same thing happens. The third call I ask to not be forwarded, but given the direct line phone number. They cant. They also cannot tell me how to use my insurance.

The department must be closed, call tomorrow, business hours, etc. Ok and I do, twice with same results. I call again and ask if I can be called back from the insurance department, no they cant do that. Can i speak with a manager?

You already are. So what do I do?

Will you make your own payments? Uh how, i cant work.
